Speaking of your preseason predictions, have you discussed not having Jokic in your top 5 MVP? 🧐 Were you thinking he wouldn’t qualify for enough games?
Such a disaster for the Spurs—maybe they can move down in the standings a notch or two to get higher top 4 pick probabilities.
When the league does expand, and when it does, I think I've read the new franchises will not have the same heavy restrictions in terms of player acquisition/draft as new franchises in the past...can we just reboot Charlotte? Let them start completely from scratch (again) under whatever the rules are for the Vegas/Seattle franchises?
The Suns are just weird. Tyus Jones and Monte Morris were
supposed to stabilize the offense. The roster got a decent adjustment in the off-season and at the trade deadline. The narrative around KD is seldom about wasting his window the way it is with Steph, LeBron or Embiid. And you can't blame defensive lapses on Bradley Beal's no-trade clause or Mat Ishbia's wallet.
The Spurs news is a bummer. I had hoped Wemby would get some playoff experience, especially with CP3 doing his Big Man Whisperer thing. Who had CP3 playing more games than Wemby AND the Pistons making the playoffs on their NBA bingo card?
SGA should absolutely be MVP. Best player on the best team; owns the league's best record missing an important teammate for most of the year. He of course won't be because there seems to be some weird desire to keep him out of the spotlight or outright mock him for commercials or whatever Kevin Hart thinks is funny.
As a Cavs fan, I’m hoping the Knicks can get their ish together b/c I’d much rather face the winner of a knock-down, drag-out series than another coasting Celtics team. (And yes, that presupposes A LOT for Cleveland)
