Pickin' All-Star nits

Good morning. Let’s basketball.

The All-Star reserves were announced Thursday night.
In the East: Damian Lillard, Darius Garland, Jaylen Brown, Cade Cunningham, Tyler Herro, Evan Mobley and Pascal Siakam. My picks on Thursday morning aligned with five of those. I had Trae Young and Tyrese Maxey over Lillard and Herro. And you know what? I did not realize just how low Young’s shooting efficiency had been this season. Good calls, coaches!
In the West: Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, James Harden, Jaren Jackson Jr., Alperen Sengun, Jalen Williams and Victor Wembanyama. I have four of those seven but correctly predicted that Williams would make it (though I thought he’d get in over Harden, not Kyrie Irving, who I had on the team). My other misses: I had Norm Powell making it over Harden though I acknowledged Powell would likely not make it, and I had Domantas Sabonis over Sengun.
This is my beef with the All-Star reserve picks. This is my fight: Sengun over Sabonis is absurd as a discrete choice.
